Over Weight

THE HEALTH RISK

If we get over weight then we pose many health risks to ourselves. In today’s society we have the highest number of over weight people than ever before, which means we are threatening our world with many serious health risks. We need to change.

Being over weight or obese is something that can creep up on us if we don’t make an effort to stay fit and healthy through exercise and a nutritious diet. If we are over weight and we have children then we are not setting a responsible example to them and their future. If our children pick up our eating habits and lack of exercise then they are more likely to end up over weight as a result. So we do need to change.

Health risks that are associated with obesity are type 2 Diabetes, some types of Cancer, Osteoarthritis, Metabolic Syndrome and High Blood pressure which can lead to stroke, heart disease, heart attack or kidney failure. These are just a few of the health risks that being over weight can cause. When we make just a short list like this it is alarming at how being over weight can affect us. It is known that smoking has been the number one killer in America, but obesity is fast on its tail as getting the number one slot for deaths related to it.

To stop this from progressing we do need to change. We need to change our lifestyles and drop the junk food and inactivity. Start eating a more healthy diet and get those bodies moving to shed those pounds and regain our health before its to late. We need to change for our children’s benefit to give them a better future and bring obesity away from that number one slot.

If you are worried about the health issues of being over weight or you know someone who is at risk then now is the time to start changing or to help them change for a better future.
