Celery:

Can celery really lower blood pressure, I have mainly come across celery at a party as a nibble to be plunged into a tasty dip. I haven’t actually tried it as a part of my diet to help lower blood pressure but have heard it said a few times that it is good for just that. There is something in celery called phthalide, which I am not even sure how to word but it is said to have effects on the arteries that help to lower blood pressure. About 4 sticks a day is said to be the amount to consume in order for it to have affect. So could celery be a home remedy effective of lowering blood pressure. Give it a try and see if it works for you.

Cayenne Pepper

If you like your food hot and spicy then you could be luck as cayenne pepper is good for our digestive system as well as our circulatory system and heart. Cayenne pepper contains several vitamins and potassium all of which help control blood pressure. The substance that is cayenne pepper is good for not only blood pressure but also arthritis, it can be used as a pain relief. Sounds like a pretty handy spice to me and worth a try if you like hot food.
