The million dollar question, how to lose weight ? We would all like to know the answer. Well the simple truth is that we all do know the answer, and most of the time we choose to ignore it.

Yes we all know the answer to that question, so why do most of us choose to ignore it. Because we want results and we want them NOW!  We want to take the magic pill or shake and go to bed fat but wake up slim. Just in case you didn’t know, that is not going to happen. After all we didn’t go to bed slim and wake up fat, no it took time to get to the that size and it will take time to back to our slim frame we once knew and loved.

Now you can still choose to ignore this and buy that magic pill, shake or formula and yes you will probably see fast results and feel good about how well you have done in dropping those pounds. But will it last, and worst of all will you put those pounds back on as quickly as you dropped them. The answer is probably yes.

Healthy weight loss is the real answer to long term pound shedding. What is healthy weight loss ? This is something you already know but have probably ignored for those fast results. We need to establish how much we are really eating over a week, to do this we keep a food diary for a week. By doing this we will know by how much we are over eating, this coupled with the lack of exercise will show us why we are over weight.

We then gradually cut down on the amount of calories we are consuming along with a regular exercise program and Voila there you have it a healthy weight loss program.  Why does this work so well ? It works because if you are only consuming the calories that your body is using and you are exercising then your body has no excuse or reason to gain weight because it has not got the resources (to much food) to be over weight.

If you persevere with a healthy weight loss program you will lose weight faster than you think over time and as long as you are reducing your weight if only pound by pound then at least your weight is going in the right direction even if it does take a long time.
