Doctor In The House

I would imagine that there are very very few people that actually like going to the visit the Doctor. Nobody wants to have to go to the Doctors. May be we don’t always have to now!

The Internet is there any part of life that it doesn’t get involved in ? Now when I say that I am not for one minute having a pop at the Internet, no not at all. In fact the complete opposite, I am just amazed at how much anyone can actually do on the Internet these days.

I thought I would tell you about the online Clinic, yes can you believe it. Why go to the Doctors when you can go online. How does it work ? You go to the website and fill in a form with the symptoms that you are suffering, a Doctor will then evaluate what you are suffering from and E-mail you a diagnosis. You can then reply to the Doctor for medication, the Doctor then writes a prescription and sends it to the Pharmacy who then sends out your medication to you by post. None of your records are shared with any other organisation.

Now is this just Crazy or Cool ? Well that is down to personal opinion and I won’t influence by giving my opinion. Except that I could imagine that this would be useful if you have an embarrassing complaint that you don’t really want to discuss with your own Doctor face to face.

So I will leave it up to you to decide whether you want to find out more about this online clinic or whether you want to stick with tradition and see your Doctor when and if you become poorly.
